The Hive (Halifax) Ltd opened in 2010 to provide day care to adults with learning disabilities. The number of clients who attend is restricted so an individual and personalised service can be provided, and respond, to those who find security in a smaller group.

We provide a range of activities and opportunities that enrich lives, promote independence and help improve self-esteem and self confidence.

The Hive has a small staff team supported by a number of volunteers and a board of trustees, all of which have considerable experience and knowledge in the social care sector. All staff are fully DBS checked and fully trained.

The ethos of The Hive is to help individuals achieve their maximum potential in a safe and supportive environment. To introduce clients to a range of new opportunities and experiences in order to help develop the skills required for independent living and future employement.

We also have an in house shop selling a range of preloved goods that not only provides income for The Hive but also offers a range of opportunities for clients.
